Combining the approaches of mindfulness based stress reduction with the understanding of the impact of positivity in the classroom, and the neurological scientific research to support the exercises, the course addresses common classroom challenges with real life examples.


The course references the work of Jon Kabat Zinn, "Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction" (MBSR); "Mindfulness for Teachers" - Patricia A. Jennings; "How to Thrive and Survive in Your Classroom" - Marjan Glavac, Paul Jackson.


There is little harm that can be done when practicing mindfulness, but if you have asthma or similar breathing difficulties, please be aware that breath work is part of the course. Only do what is comfortable for you, and ensure you have any medication to hand during breath work.

We will also be entering deeply relaxed states during the meditations, so if you are likely to find this triggering for any reason or medical condition (e.g. epilepsy) please ensure you stay safe during the practice.
